Events Department, organise in excess of 1500 events every year, ensuring that the highest standards are created and maintained in costume character portrayal.

This is achieved through auditions, castings and training and the company has held its position at the forefront of the character costume industry by:

- investing in creative people and adapting their skills to Rainbow's requirements
- creating a unique, purpose built and designed costume character maintenance facility,
- training artistes from all aspects of creative industries in the unique skills required to be an inspirational costume character performer
- setting the standards in costume character portrayal worldwide.


Role summary:


Reporting directly and working closely with the EVENTS MANAGER, the Events Coordinator has responsibility for ensuring that all character events run smoothly and successfully.

The position is office-based Monday to Friday, 9am-5:30pm, but there may be some flexibility to work remotely, and regular on-call weekend work.


  • Organised, methodical, thorough and diligent with excellent organisational & logístical skills.
  • Competent in Word & Excel.
  • 25 years old or over (for insurance reasons) and hold a full UK driver's licence.
  • Have experience driving manual cars and small vans.

The day-to-day responsibilities are to include:

  • Liaising with and booking Artistes and Road Managers
  • Liaising with Clients
  • Creating hire car schedules & checking in hire cars
  • Booking hotels
  • Handling and reconciling petty cash.
  • Processing invoices (for Freelance Artistes, Road Managers, Hotels and Hire Cars), including liaising with said contractors if invoices are incorrect.
  • Checking in and checking out hire cars, including noting any damage.
  • Responsible for maintaining the CREW VAN. Including checking for damage before and after events. Ensuring interior and exterior is kept clean by monthly valet.
  • Creating event folders, ensuring ALL relevant information and cash are supplied to the team before events.
  • Checking in folders, to include, ensuring expenses and petty cash is correct with tallying receipts, and obtaining any missing cash or receipts from relevant teams.
  • Scanning & filing RM reports
  • Informing wardrobe of any fixes or damage to costume after events
  • Helping to ensure costumes and folders are prepared & ready in the foyer, the day before events go out.
  • Being adaptable for other ad hoc duties that may arise.

Remuneration:
The salary of the Events Coordinator to be discussed at interview.

20 days paid holiday.

Eligibility for private health scheme.

Automatic enrolment onto employer's pension scheme.

A discretionary management bonus is payable annually.
