Role Objective:

You will be to deal with all matters relating to the management of a portfolio of audit clients.

You will also help Partners in both client work and in the management of the group and on occasion the wider firm.

Where appropriate, you may become involvedin special assignments on an ad hoc basis


In this role, you will:


  • Ensure that clients receive an efficient and proactive service and client expectations are exceeded throughout the year, which involves liaison with client partners and other Evelyn Partners staff where appropriate to ensure all are kept up to date withrelevant issues
  • Audit work and setting of budgets (awareness of commercial aspects of clients' business and impact on our work)
  • Arranging of timetable, booking of staff, planning review, and completion of the audit and other related assignments
  • Stay on top and updated with current affairs and developments within compliance and how this might have an impact on our clients
  • Organise staff on jobs, ensuring everyone is clear on expectations and timescales, is properly trained, and receives constructive feedback as and when required
  • Ensure any shortages or excess workloads are identified and minimized
  • Ensure assessment forms are completed and feedback is given to staff on all jobs
  • Ensure appropriate inhouse and external training received personally
  • Identify and develop opportunities with current clients

Key Requirements:


  • Significant external audit experience gained within a professional services environment
  • Experience working with entrepreneurial, OMB, SME, and AIMlisted clients
  • Experience with (and appetite for) business development activities such as targeting, preparation of proposal documents, proposal presentations, and attendance of networking events
  • Good working knowledge of skill requirements of staff at various levels to ensure work undertaken by the appropriate individual
  • Previous experience in management and motivation of staff to ensure the best performance
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA UK, CPA Canada, ICAEAW, ACCA Global extra exam, CAANZ + APT Test, AAT, ACA for Auditors, ACCA Accountant/BOS)
  • Board exams must have been passed within the first two tries
