What do we need?


We are currently recruiting for a Credit Controller to be based in our Liverpool Office on a full time contract which allows for Hybrid working.

The purpose of this position is to provide first rate legal services to our clients according to their specific needs, ensuring full compliance with policies and procedures laid out by the group and by regulatory bodies.

To act as an ambassador for the group at all times, actively promoting its services.


What do you need?

  • Proven experience of Credit Control experience essential
  • Experience within a credit control team dealing with a high volume of transactions
  • Be able to detail experience of a successful track record of achieving cash collection targets
  • End to end credit control process
  • At least 1 year in this field
  • Computer Literate, especially in Excel
  • Polite and friendly
  • Ability to build long lasting relationships with Clients
  • Trustworthy
  • Experience of standard debt recovery is preferred but not essential

Key Accountabilities

  • Managing our customers to ensure payment to the agreed terms including negotiating payment plans
  • Providing high level of customer service
  • Dealing with customers on the telephone
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Processing card payments
  • Confidence and persistence in chasing difficult aged debts
  • Ability to reconcile complex ledgers
  • Treating all customers professionally and in compliance with codes of practice
  • Negotiating payment plans with customers experiencing hardship
  • Ability to identify accounts which need to progress to legal action
  • Issuing Letters Before Action (in accordance with Pre Action Protocols)
  • Completion of court documentation as part of the recovery process.
  • This position can be taxing, particularly when dealing with customers experiencing hardship. You must have the ability to remain polite and sensitive towards customers and third parties whilst remaining committed to recovery of outstanding ledgers.
