Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support for Key Stage 1 Student

Duration:
Until the end of the academic year with potential for extension
Start Date:
After February 2024 half term
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm (30-minute lunch break)
About Us:
We are recruiting for a vibrant and dedicated primary school in Choppington, Northumberland, committed to providing a nurturing learning environment for their students.
We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Teaching Assistant to join the team and work closely with a Key Stage 1 student with attention deficit disorder and minor behavioral difficulties.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to the identified student, focusing on their individual needs and learning style.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Implement strategies to address attention deficit disorder and manage minor behavioral challenges effectively.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere to promote the student's academic and social development.
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting students with attention deficit disorder and behavioral difficulties is highly desirable.
- Proactive, resilient, and an excellent team player.
- Calm, collected, and committed to creating a positive learning environment.
- Previous experience working in a primary school setting is preferred.
- Available to start after the February 2024 half term.
