Marketing Assistant - Tourism (Maternity Cover)
The North York Moors National Park Authority looks after and promotes one of the most phenomenal parts of the British Isles.
Filled with breath taking scenery, magnificent wildlife, picture book villages and a dramatic coastline, the North York Moors boasts some of the most diverse landscapes in the UK.
We are now seeking a Marketing Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis to cover maternity leave for up to 12 months.
- Salary of £28,371 £31,099 per annum
- 24 days' annual leave rising annually by one day to 29 days after five years' service, plus public holidays

Our spectacular National Park was designated for its special qualities and it's our job to make sure the stunning landscape, incredible wildlife and cultural heritage are well cared for so everyone can continue to enjoy them for years to come.
That's why we need your creative passion and expertise to deliver content that will encourage excitement and understanding in everyone who visits (or is thinking about visiting).
As a Marketing Assistant, you will support our tourism related marketing activities to raise the profile of the North York Moors National Park.
Additionally, you will work with tourism businesses to deliver our tourism initiatives whilst assisting in the delivery of our strategy and business plan.
Your role will also involve:
- Enhancing existing themes we have running (such as local food & drink, outdoor activities, and wildlife/nature)
- Coordinating our annual Dark Skies Festival, Dark Skies Fringe Festival and Mindful Month programmes
- Support our work with various marketing admin tasks
To be considered as a Marketing Assistant, you will need:
- A minimum of two years' marketing experience
- Experience of inspirational content writing for websites
- Experience using direct mail and social media
- Knowledge of the North York Moors and surrounding area
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A full, valid driving licence
