Job Description:


JOB PURPOSE:


The Brand Communications Associate will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the development and execution of brand-level communications for the EBD brand, including the sub brands of partneringONE and partneringONEplus, to ensure consistent messaging across multiple channels.

Reporting to the VP of Marketing of Life Sciences, the role will work closely with other senior cross-functional stakeholders to ensure activities are aligned and goals are met.


JOB FUNCTION
**_
Brand Communications Strategy (10%)_**- Help create a year-long communication plan for the EBD and Partnering brands

  • Work with VP Marketing and other stakeholders to develop multichannel tactics
  • Take primary responsibility for documenting and implementing the Brand Strategy and Marketing Communications plan
  • Ensure alignment of this plan with other campaign marketing activities

_ Messaging, Brand Management and Awareness (65%) _

  • Document the voice of the brand and collaborate with wider team to ensure that all communications elements align with this
  • Update and maintain brand mission statements and boiler plates
  • Collaborate with design team to ensure that style guides, logos, banners, templates, and other materials are updated.
  • Be the champion of the brand and ensure consistency in delivery, including look and feel, value proposition and messaging pillars. In particular, champion the needs of the brand in new product launches and new initiatives, especially digital experiences
  • Manage updates to the brand web site and content pages
  • Manage brand communications presence at our events, including input on booth design, sourcing giveaways and managing partnerships.
  • Collaborate with event leads and operations to ensure that the brand is reflected in the entire customer experience, to maximise brand satisfaction.
  • Maintain social media monitoring and contribute to brand social media postings
  • Help to formulate and then implement public relations strategies:
  • Identify opportunities to raise the visibility of the brand through partner collaborations such as articles, media interviews and speaking opportunities.
  • Select and manage communications with external agencies
  • Source, direct, onboard and manage agency relationships, where appropriate
  • At times, act as the brand's frontline spokesperson for media relations, as well as identifying and preparing other internal stakeholders who can play this role.

_ Content Marketing (20%)_

  • Help develop the content marketing and community engagement strategy
  • Direct, and contribute to, the creation of marketing content and messaging that aligns with a company's brand values and goals
  • Manage execution of social media amplification campaigns and engagement tactics

_ Other (5%)_

  • Maintain knowledge of brand marketing best practices and techniques, especially within the context of event and technology marketing.
  • Attend conferences as required to support sales and marketing objectives.
  • Manage ad hoc projects as required by the business.

KEY METRICS:


  • Brand awareness, as measured through direct surveys of our audience
  • Media coverage, including the number and type/quality of media outlets that favourably cover the brand
  • Social media engagement rates: The number of likes, shares, comments, and other forms of engagement on social media and other online channels

Qualifications:


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

We are looking for a brand communications associate with 2-3 years of experience who is looking for the next challenge


Specifically, we require:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • 2 or more years in a Brand Communications role
  • Ability to work with a range of senior stakeholders to clarify and prioritize goals, identify needs and manage expectations
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing objectives, to adapt quickly to change, to prioritize and juggle to consistently meet multiple, short deadlines
