  • This role is based at Lufton Depot, Yeovil and suitable for Hybrid working.

  • The role is critical for vehicle compliance and requires a diligent and detailed work ethic.
  • This is a fixed term contract until 31 December 2024

What will I be doing?
The Fleet team support over 30 different service areas that provide statutory services to the residents of Somerset.

It is essential that Fleet provide an efficient and cost effective service to enable the service's we support to deliver to the residents of Somerset.

We're working to improve the lives of people in Somerset - and you'll be a key part of that.

Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Processing of vehicle related service sheets, safety inspections and MOT's
  • Raising Purchase orders and processing invoices,
  • Coordinating maintenance schedules with service areas.
  • Assist with the procurement of new vehicles and plant eg. strimmers, blowers and hand mowers.
  • Adhoc project work eg putting together maintenance schedules for the year, large procurement projects or assisting with the rollout of a new system across all services such as installing new telematics into all vehicles.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

  • Ability to deliver and manage work schedules and programmes
  • Ability to produce accurate & detailed data reports.
  • Previous experience with purchasing/procurement administration.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

The salary for the role is Grade 13, ranging from £23,893 to £25,979 per annum
