Are you passionate about making a positive difference in children's lives? Do you have experience working with children who have special educational needs? If so, we are looking for someone like you to join our team as a Special Educational Needs TeachingAssistant.


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is committed to supporting children with additional needs in their learning journey.

As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher and other professionalsto provide one-to-one and group support to pupils who require additional help with their learning.


The ideal Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant will have experience working within a school setting, with children who require extra support.

You should be patient, empathetic and possess excellent communication skills. A positive attitude, creativityand adaptability are also essential qualities for this role.

Responsibilities for
Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant include:


  • Supporting children with additional needs in the classroom
  • Providing onetoone or small group support to pupils
  • Assisting the class teacher with planning and implementing lessons
  • Monitoring and tracking pupils' progress
  • Liaising with parents/carers and other professionals as necessary
  • Helping to create a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment.

Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant Qualifications and requirements:

  • Previous experience of working within a school setting
  • Experience of working with children
  • Graduated university with a 2:1 or 1:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy and positivity
  • Creativity and adaptability
  • Good organisational and time management skills
