My client is searching for an experienced Team Lead to join their expanding team. Taking on a leadership role within their technical function and reporting directly to our Head of Technology.

Leading a team of 5-6 developers you will have a high level ofownership for driving the technical strategy of your product areas whilst delivering the commercial goals of the product.

You will be responsible for your team's planning, execution, delivery, monitoring and maintenance of your product area all while following best practices and our company's established standards.

Your Experience:

10+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in PHP
3+ years in senior engineering or architect level role
2+ years in a leadership role
Commercial use of a modern PHP development framework such as Laravel / Symfony desired
Writing automated unit/integration tests for solutions
Ability to build/maintain CI/CD pipelines
Excellent practical experience of docker
Excellent experience of SCM branching strategies
Excellent practical understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns
Handson experience with one or more DevOps tooling platforms
Hands on experience engineering on high availability, high throughput OLTP platforms
10+ years database experience, ideally with MySQL
Good understanding of relational databases and MySQL and writing efficient database queries
Handson experience with a range of different data storage paradigms (e.g. RDMS + Document + KV Stores)
