Job Summary:


Working closely with the Lounge Team Leader, the Lounge Attaché will ensure the delivery of a friendly, courteous, and professional service focused on customer satisfaction in line with Lounge standards, policies and procedures relating to food and beverage service as laid out by the Lounge Supervisor.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Ensure all required Lounge preparation work is completed prior to service.
  • Ensure all tables are laid up in accordance with the design and the Operation Manual at all times.
  • Ensure all interactions with lounge customers are friendly, courteous, and professional in accordance with the standards defined in the Operation Manual.
  • Check that food and beverage service provided to passengers meets the lounge standards prior to service maintaining the reputation of the Lounge.
  • Must be proficient in the knowledge of drinks, food and cocktails served in the Lounge.
  • Always ensure attentive service and passengers' satisfaction.
  • Maintain good working relationships with your colleagues and all departments.
  • Ensure you have a thorough understanding of the Airport and Lounge regulations.
  • Ensure grooming and uniform always meets the required standards.
  • Always report any complaints/comments to the Lounge Supervisor or Team Leader on duty.
  • Attend training and meetings as and when required.
  • Ensure good service planning with the necessary equipment to enable smooth troublefree service.
  • Handle all operating equipment carefully avoiding abuse and minimising breakages.
  • Keep the Lounge area and all their contents are always maintained in a clean state and in good repair. Any faults should be reported directly to the Manager or Assistant Manager or Supervisor on duty.
  • Minimise cost in the department through careful use of all stationery, linen, china, glassware, etc.
  • Carry out any reasonable additional request assigned to you by the Lounge Supervisor / Team leader.
  • Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported immediately to the Lounge Supervisor / Team leader on duty.
  • Be fully conversant with all department Fire Emergency.
  • Check lounge area for cleanliness and ensure attractive presentation of lounge at any time.
  • Ensure the highest standards of personal hygiene are always maintained.
  • Be fully conversant with the Lounge policy / Operational Manual / SOPs

Qualifications:


Education:


  • Educated to High School Level as a minimum

Work Experience:


  • Previous customer service experience preferable but not essential
  • Previous experience in airline / hospitality industry preferable but not essential

Other Skills:
(Certification, Licenses and Registration)

  • Understanding of food production, hygiene and safety standards preferred
  • PC Literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales, prioritising as appropriate
  • Customer focused, Supportive, and able to respond effectively to adhoc needs
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; able to communicate at all levels
