Position:


Purpose:

Cable Solutions Worldwide has grown in strength over the years, offering both off-the-shelf and bespoke cable solutions to the oil & gas, subsea, ship building and renewable energy industry.

The primary purpose of this role is to assist in the preparation of customer orders supplied as components in kit form to customers of CSWL.


Objective:

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the personal safety and the safety of others, tools and other equipment supplied by CSWL whilst ensuring personal conduct is to a high standard while at work.

Health & Safety:


  • Aware of and complies with Company Health and Safety Policies and instruction.
  • Always wears appropriate levels of P.P.E.
- act in a safe manner always and encourage colleagues to do likewise, highlighting to the Senior Workshop Technician any potentially unsafe situations at the earliest opportunity.


Role Responsibilities:


  • Delivery and driving duties as required.
  • Receipt, inspection, processing, packing & despatch of all goods including paperwork and computer processing (Orderwise) to ensure conformance & accuracy.
  • Cuts lengths of cable to satisfy customer orders.
  • Stock control duties including but not limited to annual stock takes.
  • Forklift duties as applicable.
  • General stores and external company areas housekeeping. Ensure that the working area is left clean and tidy at the end of each working day.
  • Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles as and when required.
  • To maintain good communication with internal and external clients.
  • Assisting the wider business objectives by completing any other duties as and when requested by senior management.

Quality Assurance

  • Quality Control: completes all work undertaken to the standard required by the Company and customer
  • Complies at all times with the procedures and standards set out in the Company Quality Assurance procedures manual

Procurement

  • Advises the Senior Workshop Technician of any stock shortages, tools or other spares necessary to enable completion of duties.

Administration

  • Follow correct procedures at all times, and ensure that all documentation is completed correctly, accurately and timeously.
  • Awareness of the implications that General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) can have for the Company. Reports any potential breach or other issue to the Senior Workshop Technician immediately it becomes apparent.

Training & Development

  • Willingly embraces and engages in training courses designed to develop relevant Health and Safety/vocational skills and knowledge.

Other

  • Completes weekly checks on Workshop machinery and equipment as required and reports any issues to the Senior Workshop Technician
  • Assists with the weekly and monthly checks on Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting circuits.
  • Any other reasonable request made by management.

Requirements:


Core Training & Competencies:


  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Forklift Licence
