An experienced Payroll Administrator is needed to join an established and supportive team based within our Head Office in Nottingham.

You will ideally have a minimum of 2 years payroll experience, managing multiple payrolls and various terms and conditions. The role is hybrid working 3 days per week in the office and 2 days per week from home.

Description

The role includes a variety of duties which will include:

  • Reporting into the Payroll Manager
  • Processing 4 weekly/ weekly and monthly payrolls, some with tight turnarounds from start to end and dealing with statutory calculations including Tax, NI, SSP, SMP, SMP etc.
  • Being the named contact with branches for payroll queries and responding in a timely manner, dealing with out of payroll payment requests and recovery and producing a suite of payroll reports
  • Uploading data from our rostering systems, running BACS reports and preparing payment files
  • Managing starters and leavers, ensuring P45's are issued and tax codes updated to facilitate first and last payments
  • Managing monthly HMRC tax filings and payments, including third party payments for AEO deductions.

Key requirements:

  • Experience of different payroll systems
  • Experience of dealing with payrolls


  • Excel

  • VLOOKUP. PIVOT and Microsoft experience
  • Experience working in a similar working environment is essential, with the ability to prioritise a large busy and varied work load. A good team player with a confident attitude.
