KM4Group are currently recruiting for a 3D Cad Technician in Stevenage to join an award winning business.


Due to a new contract win this is an opportunity to work with an innovative, market leading client managing the design and construction of a high profile project.


Beyond being the main point of contact with the customer you will also work with our client to develop and define the design team to allow further contract wins, while leading in the design space against competitors.


What You'll Do:


  • Create large scale, detailed 3D models from multiple 2D technical facility drawings
  • Present 3D models in various formats both internally and to the customer
  • Communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders involved in the project
  • Understand and interpret technical two dimensional plans, elevation and section drawings of facilities to convert to proposed 3D drawings
  • Review drawings with a critical eye while looking for design clashes and adjusting original plans

Skills You'll Need:


  • Proficiency with 3D computer aided design.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of importing 2D overlays & managing revisions
  • Calm nature when working to deadlines/under pressure
  • Ability to think creatively to manage challenges and problems arising within the project
  • Self motivation to continually develop your own skills and understanding within the design team
