Applications are invited for an exciting new role of School Research Grant Administrator within the School of the Humanities and Social Sciences.

The postholder will provide dedicated support to the research grant activities of the Department of Land Economy for four days a week and will work within the School Research Team for one day per week, providing high-quality support, advice and training on all matters related to research grant administration across all the departments within the School.


Assigned to the Department of Land Economy, but supporting other departments in the School as required, the postholder will provide expert financial and administrative support and guidance across the full grants lifecycle to academic, research and administrative staff to enable effective and efficient grant management across the School, maximising income and mitigating risks.


They will be an excellent communicator with the confidence to relate to a wide range of people and to be an effective team player with a flexible approach.

The role also requires high level organisation and prioritisation skills and the ability to take initiative and prioritise a varied workload to meet deadlines.


This a full time role, based at the Department of Land Economy, Silver Street for two days per week, at the School Office at 17 Mill Lane for one day per week, with the opportunity to work remotely two days per week.

Interviews will be held on the 21st July 2023.
