Hours:37 hours per week - will consider part-time/job share

Salary:
£27,250 - £30,500 pro rata for part time (Grade 5)


What are we looking for?


Futures are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Community Engagement Officer to drive effective engagement and account management activities with community groups and organisations for the achievement of contractual targets and engagement.

This includes engagement with community voluntary services, community organisations, employers, education, and training providers to achieve the engagement targets for Futures' service offer.


You will be required to work with autonomy and high levels of personal motivation with the proven ability to meet targets.

You will work in collaboration with teams of internal colleagues, including business engagement and delivery staff and will need to have a good knowledge of community development and current best practice and a strong understanding of the barriers to learning.

In addition, you will bring a wealth of experience in developing & leading community-based learning projects and be confident in building relations with internal and external customers.


You should also have an interest in the impact that learning and development, recruitment, and employment has on individuals and communities.


You will need to:


  • Have an exceptional ability to engage and communicate with participants of differing ages
  • Be qualified at Level 4 or above (or willing to work towards)
  • Have a Level 2 literacy and numeracy qualification.
  • Be highly proficient in the suite of MS packages
  • Have a good knowledge of Safeguarding, Prevent, Equal Opportunities and Diversity Good knowledge of Safeguarding and Health & Safety in a work placement environment
