The University of Sheffield's Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre North West (AMRC NW) have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Lead-Additive Manufacturing.


As a Technical Lead, you will be based in the area of Additive Manufacturing within the AMRC North West facility.

You will take responsibility for all Additive Manufacturing projects. This will include the line management of project engineers working on various Additive Manufacturing technology development projects.

An important aspect of the role will be to steer the technical direction of the team whilst ensuring current projects are delivered successfully.

You will be expected to input to project scoping, set up and delivery as well as advising on technical matters across Additive Manufacturing topics.

You must ensure projects are delivered to a high technical standard to ensure the AMRC's international reputation is maintained.

You will have;

  • Knowledge of digital manufacturing technologies including process monitoring and data collection
  • The ability to identify, analyse and solve longterm strategic technical problems with an appreciation of longerterm implications.
