Position Summary
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Site Operations Team in NPTC York as a Digital Transformation Specialist.

Working on a 12-month project to accelerate the digital journey of Site Operations to deliver process improvement and LEAN ways of working you will be a key member of the team reporting to the Site Operations Lead.

You will be based at Research and Development Centre in York, home of Nestlé Confectionery Research and Development.

The role of a Digital Transformation Specialist


As Digital Transformation Specialist you will be responsible for integrating digital solutions into our site Operations Team to enhance safety, efficiency, productivity, and quality.

You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between traditional R&D operational processes and digital technologies.


Further responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for integrating digital solutions into our Site Operations Team to enhance safety, efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Implementing various digital technologies, across the Site Operations team, utilising a mix of digital technology skills, project management and manufacturing improvement (LEAN/TPM/CI) expertise.
  • Using Microsoft Suite technologies such as Teams, SharePoint, Forms, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, POKA and DMO to achieve the above activities.
  • Supporting the Site Operations team ensuring the efficient and accurate delivery of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operating checklists, enabling safe, streamlined processes, adherence to quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensuring the team have access to the right information, knowledge and skills to perform any tasks (e.g. SOP, checklists, solving problems) and assist with troubleshooting and knowledge/capability build.

What will make you successful?

  • Prior experience of coordinating digital solutions/integration projects.
  • Experience, confidence, strong capability and familiarity of Microsoft Suite technologies such as Teams, SharePoint, Forms, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, POKA and DMO.
  • Experience within training and development
  • Ability to leverage digital solutions to drive process improvement and operational excellence using analytical skills to collect, analyse, and interpret data.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience of LEAN / CI capability including Excellent problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
