Are you a commercial lead with interest in growing tech startups, experience in aerospace & defence and a passion for deploying technology to solve real problems?


Archangel Imaging is looking for an experienced commercial manager with military background who can own a range of business development, sales & partnerships activities.

There are two AI camera products, Xnaut and Argonaut:

Xnaut offers AI copilot for autonomous systems in GNSS-denied environments while Argonaut offers security and protection in vast remote areas.

Both products see demands for security and resilience use cases in the UK and overseas, and as a novel technology, there are unique and interesting challenges awaiting an ambitious, creative yet logical commercial lead.

Your impact will directly benefit those who frequently operate in harm's way, and who work to ensure our safety and security.


You will be working closely with the CEO, CTO and Chief of Staff, marketing lead, project manager and the wider team on a regular basis.

We have a super talented, positive, supportive and highly trusted team who enjoy winning (and learning) together, as demonstrated by our multi-year project wins with defence, rail, maritime and space organisations.

Last year we won the World's largest UAV accelerator and opened our USA office.

On passing probation, you will receive equity options and become invested in the future success of the business, so we are looking for someone with a mindset of ownership.


How you will make an impact

  • Win new UK aerospace/defence sales & partnerships through inbound and outbound channels, including R&D bid writing
  • Maintain and build on existing UK defence sales including supporting customer success, sharing customer feedback for product improvements and upselling
  • Grow USA and international sales opportunities, including through channel partners
  • Build, operate and methodically manage repeatable sales systems that can scale as we add staff
  • Liaise with marketing to establish and reinforce Archangel Imaging's position as a leader in AI for autonomous systems within aerospace/defence verticals through activities such as thought leadership contents, running exhibitions and events
  • Deliver effective market intelligence and growth experiments
  • Support CEO fundraising pipeline activities eg keep fundraising database up to date, research connections and funds, help CEO to build pitches, data room and respond to investor requests

You must have these to apply:

  • Quantifiable wins from working closely and effectively with customers, users and partners as a business development lead, product manager or project manager
  • Aerospace /Defence / Military domainspecific knowledge, experience, network and contacts
  • Earlystage startup experience or demonstrated ability and desire to work in fastpaced environments with limited resources and less established systems
  • Willingness to travel (overseas, UK, Europe) and commute to the office 2x/week when not travelling
  • Security clearance eligibility
  • Experience doing different multichannel sales and gotomarket approaches in a large corporate, more established tech company
  • Experience building sales systems and teams from scratch
  • Experience developing different sales and gotomarket strategies
  • Experience selling AI, UAV or robotic products
  • Experience in deeptech marketing
  • Experience leading a small team
  • Business management / MBA qualifications
