We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Utility Surveyor to join our team in Glasgow.As a Utility Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in accurately mapping and assessing underground utilities and infrastructure to support construction and development projects.
You will be responsible for conducting site surveys, utilizing advanced surveying equipment and techniques, and producing comprehensive reports for clients.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed surveys and investigations to locate and map underground utilities, including gas, water, electricity, telecommunications, and drainage systems.
- Utilize a range of surveying techniques and equipment such as Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), electromagnetic locators, utility detection tools, and GPS systems to accurately collect data.
- Interpret and analyze survey data, identifying potential conflicts or issues related to utility infrastructure.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and drawings detailing the location, depth, and condition of utilities, ensuring accuracy and clarity of information.
- Collaborate with project teams, architects, engineers, and clients to provide utilityrelated recommendations and solutions for construction and development projects.
- Adhere to relevant safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe working environment during field surveys.
- Stay uptodate with the latest industry trends, technologies, and advancements in utility surveying methodologies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Utility Surveyor, ideally within a similar surveying firm or related industry.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of utility infrastructure, including underground utilities and associated mapping techniques.
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as GPR, electromagnetic locators, and GPS systems.
- Familiarity with surveying software and data processing tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret and analyze survey data.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to project teams and clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in utility surveying or a related field would be advantageous.
- Valid driver's license.
Salary:
£26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
