The Company


We are working with a food distribution business based in Lincoln are looking to recruit an ambitious Logistics Coordinator to support their Transport Supervisor and the Logistics team as they expand their operation.


The Role - Logistics Coordinator


As a member of the site logistics team the Logistics Coordinator looks after the outward haulage, transport, planning and administration for department.

The main focus of the role is to plan transport for all areas and ensure that they are operating efficiently.


Other Responsibilities include:

  • Plan vehicles to Production planning and preagreed systems.
  • Liaise with Haulage suppliers & Production
  • Tachograph analysis
  • Arrange for rejections to be collected from depot and for replacements if required
  • Haulage Invoicing
  • Cost efficiencies in routing and fuel
  • Collate and enter Agency Figures and provide PO No to Agency.
  • Completing the monthly transport P&L sheet
  • Completing Maintenance sheets for all assets
  • Data analysis using the TMS and Excel

The Hours
Tuesday - Saturday

8:30am - 4:30pm

  • 1 year+ experience in the transport office, as a planner, clerk, or administrator.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills particularly Excel & Word
  • An ability to learn and develop into a more senior position
  • A passion for logistics and transport operations
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Flexible on the hours of work
  • Commutable to Lincoln daily
