**Full Time Experienced Teaching Assistant

Location/Based:
Ruislip


Contract:
Immediate start

  • July 2023 (Long Term)

Full Time:
, Mon-Fri, 5 Days, 8:30am-3:30pm

Pay Rate:
£70-£80 (Based on experience)


The Role:


A Teaching Assistant role, based In a 'Good Mainstream School, supporting Children within the classroom, on a 1:1 or group basis.

This requires supporting the Classroom Teacher in the duties which need to be carried out:


  • Preparing the classroom ready for lessons.
  • Preparing tasks and activities for lessons
  • Group interventions
- listening to children read, reading to them or telling them stories.
- helping children who need extra support to complete tasks.
- helping teachers to plan learning activities and complete records.
- supporting teachers in managing class behaviour.

Duties:


  • Building a positive relationship with Children, to enable confidence, support anxiety and challenges within the classroom
  • Working alongside the teacher, to plan and produce appropriate activities and tasks for the Child, based on interest and suited to capability.
  • Being a reliable and punctual member of staff, to adequately support the needs of child, this is imperative when working on a 1:1 basis.
  • Ensuring good communication is being made with the school and parents, passing over important information, reports, and recording behaviours.
Ideally as a Teaching Assistant, qualifications are beneficial, however not imperative.

However, experience is essential, whether on a personal level, or school based, it is important to have an understanding on Teaching Assistant experience and what adaptionsare required when SEN Children need 1:1.


Qualifications:

  • GCSES: English and Maths (A
  • C)
