iMultiply are working in partnership with a leading independent Accountancy Firm to recruit a Client Manager.The Practice
An innovative and growing independent Accountancy Firm with ambitious plans to scale the business. The Practice works closely with SMEs and owner-managed businesses across the UK.
The Role
Day-to-day you will be responsible for;
- Manging a portfolio of clients comprising individuals and owner managed businesses.
- Preparation and review of accounts for companies, partnerships, LLP's and sole traders.
- Preparation and review of corporation tax returns and computations.
- Preparation and review of partnership tax returns and adjusted profit computations.
- Preparation and review of personal tax returns and computations.
- Company secretarial filings.
- Discuss and resolve accounts queries with clients.
- Ensure the completion and implementation of all relevant client work ensuring effective team workflow.
- Reviewing bookkeeping/VAT returns for quarterly submission.
- Research and seeking to resolve issues for upward communication in more complex client cases or higher risk aspects of work.
- Complete administration on client files and set up relevant file reviews ensuring all sections are of a standard to be sent out to clients for approval.
- Consistent & regular communication with management on progress and status of ongoing jobs.
- Ensuring month end procedures are completed on a timely and efficient basis.
- Communicate with HMRC and other bodies as required.
- Ensure jobs are completed within 30 days of starting and/ or delivered atthe agreed date.
- Ensuring telephones are answered within 3 rings & the office is kept clean, tidy & safe.
- Ensuring you are adhering to the clean desk policy
- Take potential lead meetings.
- Facilitate portfolio growth of 20% year on year.
- New client engagement procedures.
- Arrange & lead accounts planning meetings so to maximise implementation of immediate resources.
- Identifying additional billing opportunities & project work with a target of 20% of your compliance billing (only where project work will benefit clients).
- Attend networking events.
- Assisting the director with the running of the department/ office.
- Ensuring team achieves recoverability of at least 100%.
- Review team WIP's to ensure margins are maximised and resource is utilised at the appropriate levels.
- Review weekly resourcing to ensure deadlines are delivered.
- Oversight of teams.
- Managing the support, training & development of the team.
- Ensure your team's time sheets are completed and checked.
- Ensure teams 121 meetings are completed and recorded within the required timescale.
- Maximise chargeable time for all client work.
To be considered for the role you will ideally have;
- Problem solving abilities in order that you can take client issues and independently and satisfactorily resolve them.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at every level.
- A good eye for detail, and a flair for producing highquality written communication.
- A positive mindset and a proactive, cando attitude.
- Ability to respond under pressure in a complex environment, whilst managing a high and diverse workload.
- ACCA or equivalent qualified.
