The Role:


As a Capacity Planner, you will support the Capacity Managers in providing the airports with technical advice and strategic guidance on capacity and demand issues.

You will support the development of short and long-term capacity plans that align to or commercial demand forecasts and operational improvement plans, reflect regulatory and process changes, and provide for customer needs.

You will establish and collate internal and external data sources required to quantify and validate operational requirements, support the necessary capacity analysis, and inform any solutions.


Other accountabilities include:

  • Undertake research to understand and interpret aviation trends, provide external benchmarking, and identify new and innovative solutions and approaches.
  • Interpret commercial forecasts and business strategy into operational demand forecasts.
  • Work closely with Operations to understand their current process capability and future targets to plan against.
  • Undertake internal capacity planning studies and appraisals to understand and analyse constraints and identify mitigating actions, drawing on analytical skills and planning tools such as spread sheet analysis, simulation, CAD and GIS.
  • Report and communicate results across the Group in an efficient, effective and consistent way, to inform stakeholders of outcomes and opportunities.

You:


As a Capacity Planner, you will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, a transport planning, operational research or performance analysis role would be desirable.

You will have strong analytical skills and knowledge of appropriate tools to undertake operational capacity analysis and develop capacity planning models.

Proficiency to an advanced level with Microsoft Office Tools, principally Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI is essential and experience with CAST Terminal and/or CAST Stand Allocation is desirable.

You will also have strong communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate data and information in a manner that is readily understood by a wide audience of varied experience.
