Head Of Health and Safety:

This is an exciting position which enables you to work from home, our head offices in London/ Reading and to visit our sites in the UK regularly.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic QHSE professional who can lead all QHSE matters; manage and drive value from the company's outsourced health and safety advisor; report on the performance of sectors; provide coaching and direction on compliance; ensure robust processes are in place and support business growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain a food, health, safety, environmental and risk management plan
- Provide planning and technical QHSE input to the leadership team to ensure that any new or changed risks are appropriately controlled and recorded
- Ensure that health, safety, environmental and risk management policies, and procedures are effectively implemented across all operational locations, and in accordance with client requirements
- Responsible for curating the Operational teams' training needs and working with the L&D team to build and develop new ways of learning
- Prepare and promote QHSE objectives that link to sector performance, and help drive engagement, culture, and overall compliance
- Drive a proactive approach to risk management; and ensure that wellbeing and mental health are at the forefront of everything we do, to deliver a consistent reduction in RIDDORs and similar incidents.
- Establish and run sector QHSE forums to drive focus, engagement, and communication of HSEQ matters improvement plans, performance and risk; consistently promoting a proactive approach to risk management, a coaching leadership style, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor compliance with fire safety legislation, food and HSE regulations
- Experience in managing health and safety in a multisite environment
- Experience in facilities management
- Chartered QHSE professional desired
- Experience in risk management and business continuity planning
- Effective influencing skills and stakeholder management
- Project management and risk management skills
- Knowledge of catering business procedures and practices
