We are currently recruiting for an experienced Nursery Cook to join our wonderful team at our private day nursery in Roundhay to cover maternity leave.

• Following the seasonal menus.
• Plan, prepare and cook healthy balanced meals for children, taking into account of any special dietary needs.
• To maintain high standards of personal hygiene and personal appearance in accordance with the company's hygiene policy.
• Effective management of the kitchen (Planning ahead to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen).
• Organise mealtimes to ensure minimum disruption for childcare practitioners
• Ensure kitchen is maintained to the highest standard in all areas (cleanliness, hygiene etc.).
• Complete shopping lists each week.
• Ensure all Food and Hygiene and Compliance is adhered to.

• Experience of meal preparation and cooking in early years or care environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of catering for a variety of dietary needs.
• Good organisation and communication skills.
• Good command of English Language.
• Must have food hygiene certificate or be willing to undertake one.
• Must hold a current DBS which is registered to the update service or be willing to undertake one.
• Must be eligible to work within the UK.
