Head Veterinary Nurse

Salary:
Up to £38,000 (DOE), with a welcome bonus of up to £2000 and relocation allowance up to £2000. Annual parking pass included.
GVC are providing recruitment support to this well-established, modern practice in North East who are actively seeking a dedicated Head Veterinary Nurse to join the welcoming team.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate closely with the practice manager and clinical directors to ensure the smooth operation of the practice.
- Manage the nursing team, overseeing rotas, facilitating development and CPD, conducting return to work procedures, and conducting performance reviews.
- Assist in clinical audits and initiatives aimed at improving practice standards.
- Dedicate half a day to administrative tasks away from clinical duties.

The role entails Monday to Friday work, totalling 36-40 hours per week, with the possibility of a 4-day week and flexibility in hours as long as the practice maintains adequate staffing levels.
The Practice:
This surgery is an RCVS accredited small animal practice located in Northeast London.
As a long-standing Veterinary Nurse Training Practice, they offer services for companion pets including cats, dogs, rabbits, and other small animals.
The practice is equipped with advanced facilities such as X-ray, Ultrasound, Dental X-ray machines, and an in-house biochemistry machine.They are committed to maximizing staff utilization and provide funding for certifications, supporting nurses in performing schedule 3 procedures. The location offers excellent transport links to Central London and is surrounded by various amenities.
The Team:
The dynamic team comprises 5 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, 2 Veterinary Care Assistants, and 3 Receptionists.
