The Post


The College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Catering Assistant to assist the Chef Manager and Deputy Chef Manager in providing up to 2800 students and 280 staff with a first class, high quality, in-house catering service in the College's Refectory.

The successful applicant will perform a range of catering duties to assist with the smooth running of the catering operation and to provide the highest possible level of customer service.

The post is available from 2 January 2024 on a permanent, part-time basis. The hours are from 10.30am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday, for 35 weeks per year (term-time only).

Although the post is for 35 weeks per year, the salary will be divided into 12 monthly payments. There will be occasional private functions during the evenings and weekends for which extra payment will be given.


As a Catering Assistant, you will work in a busy environment and will be required to regularly interact with students.


Department


The department is made up of a Chef, a Deputy Chef and 11 Catering Assistants, who work closely together to ensure an effective catering service is provided for staff and students alike.


Salary
The salary for this post is from £8, FTE £21,278) to £9, FTE £22,793) per annum.
