**Pre-Production Scheduler

The role


Working at our Clients site in Basildon, you will be responsible for reviewing production drawings, generating production documentation and scheduling materials for procurement.


This role will interact with all the internal teams on a regular basis as well as site teams and external suppliers.

Responsible for previewing design release information for manufacture:

  • Highlight any design queries identified when scheduling materials as soon as identified, for example, construction methods/specifications etc and discuss possible solutions with the design team.
  • Ensure due consideration is given for sustainable material/specific specifications/sectional sizes including lead times when scheduling to ensure compliance and programmes are not compromised.
  • Generate cutting sheets in accordance with established processes for release to manufacture as sequenced delivery dates documented within the client's project programme.
  • Specify what and how many materials are required and undertake procurement for the same in accordance with relevant procedures.

Responsible for communicating and providing pre-production advice to departmental supervisors:

  • Ensure advance knowledge is provided for works due for release to manufacture by communicating directly with departmental supervisors.

To undertake any other duties within your skills confidence to support the attainment of our clients key objectives:

  • Seek to continuously improve the quality and value of administrative support provided by working with key colleagues.

Responsible for positively contributing to a safe work environment ensuring compliance with relevant statutory regulations and quality standards. Protect all personal information in adherence with GDPR.**:

  • Complete all mandatory Health and Safety training and any corporate refresher training where required.


  • AutoCAD

  • Intermediate Level (Enabling preview / extraction of information from electronic drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Window Software Packages.
  • Effective communicator with excellent attention to detail.
  • Team player
  • NVQ 3 (or equivalent) in Woodworking/Bench Joinery

Monday - Friday

8am - 5.00pm

Salary up to £44,000 per annum plus benefits
