Description

The Finance & Accountancy Division is exclusively partnering with an established Medium Size Business based in Corby in recruiting for an Experienced Financial Controller.

This is a number 1 position in finance, reporting directly to the MD and managinga small finance team (long standing members).

As the Financial Controller, you will ensure accurate and timely financial information is reported for the company to the Group and take full ownership of the finance function.

As the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Production of monthly management accounts and annual management accounts, liaising with external auditors
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Account reconciliation
  • Maintain P&L and cash flow
  • Stock valuation and control
  • Responsible for year end procedures and checks
  • Submissions to HMRC for PAYE, VAT, Intrastat etc
  • Oversee monthly processing of payroll and other employee payments
  • Project manage ad hoc projects and tasks
  • Other duties required by the Senior Management Team
As the Financial Controller, you must be able to demonstrate the below skills and attributes:

  • Experience in an "all round" finance role
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience of reporting
  • Good understanding of business and financial issues
  • Compeent on excel and IT literate
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Confidence and attention to detail skills
