Polytec are looking for a Laboratory Supervisor for our Cambridge based client to ensure the smooth running of laboratory operations, co-ordinating the requirements of all teams and liaising with external contractors.


Responsibilities:


  • Main point of contact for laboratory matters
  • Ensure laboratories are kept clean and tidy
  • Lead on resolution of technical queries
  • Ensure laboratory services and supplies are delivered on schedule
  • Ensure laboratories are fully operational (equipment and consumables)
  • Preparation of media including Quality Control prior to delivery
  • Health and Safety compliance

Requirements:


  • Science related degree, or extensive scientific experience
  • Experience of Health and Safety Management
  • Previous work experience in CL2 laboratory
  • Preparation of bacterial growth media
  • Biological safety containment: anaerobic and tissue culture
  • Comfortable working with others and independently
  • Attentive to detail and diligent in keeping accurate records
  • IT literate with proficiency in MS Office
