Learning Mentor - Watford, United Kingdom - Protocol Education
Description
Protocol Education is seeking Learning Mentors to support children with social, emotional, mental health (SEMH) and SEND needs at a school in Watford.
The school, a Primary School, offers alternative provision for students with SEMH and SEND who cannot attend mainstream education for various reasons.
Your role as a Mentor/Support Worker will involve assisting students with their SEMH and SEND requirements, well-being, and academic development through a structured and adapted curriculum.

This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain classroom experience before pursuing a teaching career, or for graduates seeking an exciting career change.
Role:
- Collaborate with the staff team, especially teachers, to support students' EHCP's and academic/social requirements and deliver interventions.
- Assist in managing student behavior during tasks, ensuring a positive learning environment is maintained.
- Handle classroom situations effectively by following safeguarding procedures.
- Report any safeguarding concerns following the school's protocols.
All candidates must possess the necessary qualifications and training for this role. Refer to the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for more information.
All pay rates include 12.07% holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future.
Full support will be provided. Review the privacy policy on the Protocol Education website for more details.
