About the role and our team
Join our team as a Generic Therapy Technical Instructor for Manx Care
As part of your role you will support different Therapists within physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language and Dietetics.
We can offer you a flexible working pattern, within the needs of the service. You will spend your time doing ward assessments/treatments and visiting patients at home.
Some of your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Providing clinical assistance and administrative support to Therapists
- Providing assessments, treatments, interventions and follow ups for patients
- Completing a range of initial screening assessments with patients and identify therapy need
- Conducting pre/post discharge visits to patients homes
- Providing home based treatment or address equipment needs
- Planning and prioritisation of your outpatient and inpatient caseload
You will be joining our small team who work alongside Doctors, Nurses and Social Workers, all working together to provide the best possible care to our patients.

You will have the opportunity to become a trusted assessor, by taking part in courses funded by our Department, as well as regular in service training programs.
This includes use of our on-site education and training centre, a wellbeing group and the fantastic range of fully funded courses we support.

A full valid driving licence and access to own vehicle are required for this role. A uniform will also be provided.A relocation package and interview expenses are not available for this role.
