Job Purpose


The purpose of the E-Commerce Assistant role is to work with the E-Commerce Coordinator and Donation Centre Manager to develop our e-commerce trading department.


You will work alongside a colleague to select items from our donations which will raise the maximum income through online platforms such as eBay, Facebook, Vinted and other web based auction/sales platforms with a view to ensuring a positive (feedback) and profitable presence for the Charity through digital sales.


Key Responsibilities

  • Sales of donated items through a range of online platforms.
  • Achieve weekly, monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Work with the E-Commerce Coordinator and Donation Centre Manager to maintain systems for the storage, listing and dispatch of items to maximise their profitability and ensure safe delivery.
  • Manage the feedback from customers to ensure 100% positivity.
  • Have a clear understanding of the Charity's policies and vision and how the ecommerce department contributes to these.
  • Organise stock for listing, sales, packaging and disposal where necessary.
  • Liaising with other departments to increase awareness of the charity retail business.
  • Maximise sale opportunity of all items through high standard photography and product knowledge.
  • Ensuring Gift Aid details are securely processed from our donors.
  • Other appropriate duties or projects to support the Charity's work.

Salary:
£10.60 per hour
