**SEN Teaching Assistant

Merton**FORWARD TEACHING is seeking a SEN teaching assistant for our client based in Merton.

REQUIREMENTS:

Clear Enhanced DBS
QTS
Strong empathy, understanding and patience skills.
To be calm in challenging situations
Excellent parent liaison skills
Committed and reliable to providing the best support towards staff and other students.
Passionate about working with children with Special Educational Needs
Has an excellent understanding of different approaches towards children's learning to fit individual needs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work close with other teachers, therapists, teaching assistants and parents.
Provide ongoing support for behaviour management as well as promoting positive learning.
Create a happy, motivating and calm working environment where the pupils can develop within their education and morals.
Support teachers to help children with SEN.
Looking after the pupil's physical, social and emotional wellbeing
Observe, record and report back to the teacher about any student development or change

EXPECTED BENEFITS:

SALARY:
£86.50-£100 per day

Monday to Friday
