Description

As the HR System Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, and delivery of the iTrent HR system.

You will act as a 'Super User' for the development, support and design of the HR system.


You will deliver a critical service to the HR department and key users across the business by being a technical expert that will bring key efficiencies and provide further support to any planned growth for the company.


  • Lead contact for all HR system queries
  • Design and build user profiles, including setting up new starters and changing profiles of existing employees as required
  • Working with internal stakeholders to develop and enhance reports whilst providing all management information and reports
  • You will help to develop and maintain the new HR system modules including the core system, recruitment, ESS, absences, workflows, work patterns, document templates and other system functions
  • Proactively identify gaps in the HR system processes and recommend and design new workflows
  • You will have responsibility for testing upgrades to the HR system
  • Diagnosing and resolving problems in a timely manner, create and maintain workflows, batches, questionnaires, correspondence templates
  • You will write and maintain a variety of reports and audits using Business Objects, ensuring that reporting requirements for the organisation are met
  • You will oversee the creation and maintenance of documentation, providing user friendly training guides
  • Collate and analyse data, interpret findings and implement best practice
  • Provide training and coaching to users as required
  • You will make decisions on system queries/fixes, escalating to the Director of HR/HR Manager where appropriate
  • You will work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure the overall HR system meets the needs of the organisation
  • You will identify opportunities to further develop the system configuration and management reporting capability of the HR system
  • You will take the lead in managing the Trust link with the HR system provider, including leading on meetings, project management and raising cases via the service desk such as defects to ensure all solutions meet the needs of the Trust
  • You will update and maintain iTrent org structures to ensure new posts, positions and units are accurately reflected
  • You will ensure the iTrent HR system supports processes, policies and procedures
  • You will keep up to date with any MHR iTrent news and developments
