Youth Workers Required in Education - Tameside

We are seeking confident and compassionate individuals who can make a positive impact on the lives of children.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN needs.
• Behaviour management – supporting students with challenging behaviour.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
• Work alongside teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop effective strategies for students.
• Support and guide students to overcome challenges.

Requirements:

• Able to commute to Tameside daily.
• Previous experience working with adults or young people with SEND needs is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Great time keeping and hardworking nature.
• Desire to work in mainstream secondary schools.
• Passion and drive to help impact the lives of children around you.
• Youth Work or Support Work qualifications are desirable.
• Previous experience working with vulnerable children or young people for 3 months+
