What is the role?
This is an exciting opportunity for a Factory Supervisor to join the Space4 Team. This role typically reports to the Manufacturing Manager.


The purpose of the role is to successfully supervise allocated area, managing a team to reach targets, ensuring safety, quality and targets are met and achieved.

Cross training of team members is a vital part of the role as is ensuring health and safety is adhered as well as ensuring the quality of the product exceeds customers' expectations.

Output and budget targets must also be met.


The role will include:


  • Correct despatch of product to both inhouse teams and customers ensuring inventory is correct first time
  • Managing flow of team and product to maximize time and efficiency
  • Discipline and success of team
  • Liaise with despatch ensuring orders are completed in a timely manner to avoid supplementary transport costs and unnecessary production and storage of product
  • Understand and achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Customer satisfaction with product
  • Motivation of and accountability for team and its product
  • Working closely with purchasing team to ensure sufficient stock levels
  • Following build plan in an effective and productive manner
  • Work in conjunction with training manager to identify training needs and requirements to achieve a multiskilled team
  • Effective use and distribution of labour
  • Personal Training Record issuing of any new team members
  • Responsibility and accountability for the quality of the product produced by your team
  • Implementing the Health and Safety policy of the company ensuring safe working conditions and practice at all times
  • Daily management meetings to review performance, safety and quality
  • Understand and follow Standard Operational Policies. (SOP)
