Description

A leading global manufacturer of complex engineered components supplying the aerospace and energy sectors has a new vacancy for an Estimating Engineer.

With an engineering/technical discipline you will interpret engineering drawings to produce estimates& quotes and build long term relationships with customers.


Commutable from:
Nuneaton, Hinckley, Leicester, Coventry, Rugby, Tamworth.

Salary:
£35,000 -£42,000 p.a. + benefits

Estimating Engineer, Estimating Lead, Commercial Engineer, Estimating Manager, Cost Engineer, Commercial Manager, Estimator, Cost Estimator, Bid Engineer, Bid Coordinator, Bid Manager.



The Role
Accurate translation of customer drawings and specifications within the quotation process.


Provide accurate and detailed manufacturing cost estimates, of machined components and complex assemblies for the preparation of bill of materials required for the quotation to the customer.

Create detailed production/manufacturing process sheets.


Attend meetings with internal departments, customers, raw material suppliers and service providers, to ensure that the most up to date information and questions are answered.

Work with the other members of the Commercial, Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams to develop the quoting module.

Liaise with the other members of the team in the preparation of commercial proposals.

Work with the customer in order to close out and win the work quoted.


The Person
With experience working in precision engineering, you must have proven estimating experience and be able to read engineering drawings.

An experienced negotiator you will possess good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levelswithin the organisation.
