Description
The Garment Technologist will be responsible for developing collaborative products within established in-house brands from concept to final production. You will be able to create supporting artwork which illustrates design concepts that tells a story to the consumer. Designs will vary from equestrian clothing to equestrian products that all translate the vision of our in-house brands.

Within the role you will carry out a range of technical, investigative, and quality control work to ensure the end-product performs to specification.

Responsibilities;

Measuring fit samples, preproduction samples and production samples
Produce clear and detailed technical specifications.
Ensure quality and measurements are as per approval.
Conduct fit sessions for own product area(s) inhouse
Sample development control
Ability to work under pressure and to key deadlines.
Keeping detailed notes and records on all aspects of production and sample process
Other duties as required.
Have a degree in fashion, product or industrial design (or similar field)
Advanced level Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
Trend aware, highly creative and able to identify and create innovative designs
Strong communication, organisational and presentation skills
Passionate and driven individual
Understanding of material development processes and construction
Understand design from a technical perspective such as producing patterns and technical specifications for designs
Confident and personable
Strong team player with an ability to work independently
An understanding of pattern cutting /grading is desirable.
Understanding of garment construction
Equestrian knowledge an advantage but not a requirement
