Managing Director, PR Agency - The Company

This is an exciting role at an international PR and Advertising agency with it's HQ in Berlin. They are the largest German communications agency, with offices across the world.

The role will be fully on-site in the heart of Berlin, with 5 days a week inthe office and they are open to an English and/or German speaker.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead six global PR teams, each with between 810 consultants, in the global Public Relations department
- approx. 50 employees in total)

  • Responsible for development, implementation, and support of integrated communication campaigns for wellknown customers from the public and private sector
  • Coordinating global integrated campaigns with various service units such as creation, online/social media, media planning, events, TV production etc. and network agencies worldwide
  • Development of new business strategies and the acquisition of new national and international customers from the areas of business and brands (B2B and B2C marketing) as well as for customer advice at board and managing director level
  • Personnel management, recruitment, development and implementation of business plans
  • 50% of the customers come from the public sector (governmental institutions in approx. 40 countries, various ministries, EU institutions, etc.), so an understanding of working with political institutions is essential for a potential job holder
Managing Director - Essential requirements

  • 10 years of relevant professional experience in PR, specifically at a global agency
  • Extensive network of contacts of important media representatives and journalists at national and international level
  • Knowledge of the full range of PR and advertising tools and a deep understanding of integrated communications
  • Extensive experience in budget calculation and operational business
  • The working language is English, German is an advantage but not a must
