Our people work differently depending on their jobs and needs. From hybrid working to flexible hours, we have plenty of options that help our people to thrive.

This role is based in the United Kingdom and as such all normal working days must be carried out in the United Kingdom.

Join us as a Human Resources Business Partner

  • We're looking for an established strategic talent leader to provide our business leaders with expert advice, counsel, diagnostic analysis and decision support regarding people plans and strategy
  • You'll be partnering with colleagues from our Corporate Banking & Structured Finance and Financial Institutions customer businesses to deliver their dynamic strategy and people priorities
  • It's your opportunity to gain unique experience in a highly influential and complex role, joining a team with high standards and a passion for delivering excellent outcomes for our businesses, colleagues, and our customers

What you'll do:

When you join us as a Human Resources Business Partner, we'll look to you to create, drive and deliver purposeful strategic people initiatives in response to strategic challenges.

Using data on key people measures, you'll identify trends and make recommendations to the business area and the leadership team to drive employee engagement levels and respond to strategic challenges.

You'll also face off to senior leadership in our newly formed Commercial & Institutional franchise, which spans a diverse range of customer businesses, product and capabilities and entities, giving you the opportunity to contribute to its evolution and refinement.

You'll also be:

  • Contributing to both the functional people strategy and business strategy as an active and valued member of our leadership team
  • Enabling the business to deliver on strategic priorities, as well as driving organisational priorities
  • Collaborating and creating strong partnerships with senior business leaders and broader HR to influence good strategic outcomes
  • Working across legal entities, helping to stand up a new business model and managing through a matrix structure
  • Coaching and managing the Human Resources Business Partner for NatWest Holdings, Western Europe
  • Overseeing the NatWest Holdings Western European businesses, and managing their nuances

The skills you'll need:

Front office business partnering experience in a multi-disciplined corporate or investment banking business area would be helpful, but this isn't essential.

You'll also demonstrate:

  • Broad experience in operational and financial planning
  • Sound judgement and decisionmaking skills
  • Experience of leading diverse professional teams through complex change
  • Excellent knowledge of the relevant legal policies and regulations
  • Commercial acumen, and a commercially focused risk appetite
  • Experience of harnessing data led insights to develop sustainable solutions
