This is an exciting time to join the East of England Ambulance Service Trust amidst the development of a new centralised approach to Planning and Resourcing.


The Head of Resource Planning will play a key role in supporting the implementation of the Trust's strategic aims and on-going development through identifying opportunities for change to support improvements in service delivery.

The post holder will influence stakeholders and oversee the transformation and implementation of agreed changes.


The post holder will lead and be responsible for the delivery of resource planning for both in house and external contingent resource.


The post holder will provide leadership and professional management, combined with responsibility for resource planning across the trust including the development and implementation of planning changes, providing expertise to support directorates in their work to redesign and modernise services.


They will support the delivery of measurable and observable improvements in planning resources both operational (staff and vehicles) and financial, analysing performance and variations to plans to inform the business planning and operational management of the organisation.

The post holder must be passionate, ambitious and have the desire to influence at the highest levels, both within the Trust and with partner organisations and the wider health economy, and must have a
clear vision of how this post will contribute to the achievement of the Trust.

The Trust delivers services across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. It is developing a new centralised approach to Planning and Resourcing based on industry best practice.

The Head of Resource Planning will support, and where necessary deputise for the Deputy COO Resource Planning and Forecasting in predicting and defining the future scope and challenges in the planning and performance of operational service delivery.

The role is a Trust wide one supporting the implementation of the Trust's strategic aims and on-going development through identifying
opportunities for change to support improvements in service delivery. The post holder will influence stakeholders and oversee the transformation and implementation of agreed changes.
