£70 - £85 per day

Academic Appointments are currently looking for Cover Supervisors to cover day to day and long-term absence in mainstream secondary schools across Knaresborough.

Supervising work that has been set in accordance with the school policy
Managing the behaviour of pupils while they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment
Responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedures
Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school's policies and procedures
Collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher
Reporting back as appropriate using the school's agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising

Academic Appointments can offer day to day work as well as longer term bookings from a week to a full academic year, and working hours are usually from 08:30 - 15:30 Monday to Friday and term time only.

You will need:

Experience in a school setting is desirable
2 x references from previous employers covering 5 years
Evidence of an exemplary track record
A passion for success and a genuine desire to help students achieve their potential
An Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service

Rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience and payroll method.
