Join us as a Data & Analytics Controls Lead

  • In this prominent role, your ability to develop stakeholder relationships will be as important as your risk management skills
  • This is a great opportunity to develop a wide network and excellent relationships across our bank, as you'll be a part of a collaborative and supportive work environment
  • Daytoday, you'll lead informed discussions on effective risk management and decisionmaking capabilities and anticipate and assess the potential impacts across our Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO)
  • You'll work from home some of the time, but you'll also spend a significant amount of time working from an office or hub

What you'll do:


In addition, you'll create a culture of continuous improvement, increasing efficiency and productivity through great people leadership, coaching, engagement, and the development of skills.


As well as this, you'll be:

  • Providing a combined view of the control environment for CDAO
  • Maintaining corporate governance and risk committees, formulating and articulating risk appetite using the operational risk framework and material risk measures
  • Supporting colleagues in collaborating with the second and third lines of defence, to drive a joinedup view across the three lines of defence
  • Ensuring impacts of strategic initiatives on the operational risk profile are evaluated, managed, and mitigated
  • Supporting and engaging with relevant stakeholders and leading and managing a team of business control partners while championing their potential
  • Coordinating and supporting the CDAO risk committee

The skills you'll need:


To succeed in this role, you'll need to be a highly skilled leader with experience of maintaining corporate governance and risk committees, formulating and articulating risk appetite using the operational risk framework and material risk measures.


We'll also look to you to bring:

  • Significant experience within a data risk or controls role and a good understanding of controls relating to systems and data
  • Experience of managing teams, coaching and development
  • A demonstrable ability to deliver high quality outcomes in a fastpaced environment
  • A background of risk management, being a part of risk committees and using controls frameworks
  • The ability to communicate complex ideas and solutions to technical and nontechnical audiences
