The Department

The End Point Assessment Department (EPAD):

The University of West London is the End Point Assessment organisation for the integrated apprenticeship and is fully registered on the Education and Skills Funding Agency Register of End Point Assessment Organisations (RoEPAO).

The End Point Assessment department (EPAD) is responsible for the quality assurance of End Point Assessments (EPA) for apprenticeships, ensuring robust internal quality assurance processes in line with the requirements of assessment plans.

The department is also responsible for recruiting and training Independent Assessors.


The Academic Quality and Standards Office oversees the maintenance and enhancement of standards, and all quality assurance activities, processes, and policies on behalf of the University for its internal and external academic provision.

The Institute for Policing Studies (IPS) is an exciting new development within the University of West London. Its creation reflects the increasing role of Higher Education in the policing community in London and the UK.

The IPS teaches the new Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) for student police officers and direct entry programmes for existing graduates under the Degree Holder Entry programme (DHEP) for both Uniform Officers and direct entry for detectives.


The Role


The role involves working with colleagues in the End Point Assessment Department to support the implementation and further development of quality assurance processes to support the effective delivery of EPA for the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship.

The role is particularly focussed on supporting the effective delivery of Gateway and End Point Assessment. It involves supporting staff and co-ordinating activities around Gateway and End Point Assessment.

The role will also involve working closely with the Institute of Policing Studies around aspects of apprentice progression and preparation for End Point Assessment.

The role will also involve working with colleagues from a range of Schools/Colleges and Professional Service Departments.


The Person


They will be supporting the management of the End Point Assessment (EPA) process for the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship and will be able to work as a flexible and effective member of a team, with good time management and organisational skills and be capable of working under pressure and to tight deadlines on occasion.

They will be expected to work on site full-time.
