This is an exciting time for the George Baker group and due to continued expansion we are now looking for a Transport Administrator to join the UK Transport team.

Key Responsibilities

Effectively using in house systems to input bookings accurately
Informing customers of any operational issues in a timely manner
Supporting colleagues in their client management
Dealing with both customers and hauliers; resolving any issues that may arise
Further developing relationships with current customer and haulier base
Accurately checking all inbound and outbound invoices to ensure costs are correct
Chasing hauliers for PODs and sending on to the customer

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Previous logistics experience desirable
Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers/hauliers
Highly organised with ability to prioritise own workload
Self motivated, reliable, trustworthy and hard working
Proactive approach, problem solving skills
Experience of using an in house transport system would be desirable
A desire to develop sales skills would also be an advantage
