Contract Scotland's client is a well-established fit-out contractor across Scotland, and they are currently have an exciting requirement for a Commercial Manager to join their team.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will oversee the contracts managementof all projects across the region from acceptance to completion.

You will also assist the Managing Director to oversee projects' pre-construction/bid process from inception to financial close.


Key Requirements of the Role:

  • Manage all Surveying staff to ensure compliance with company procedures
  • Ensure all contracts achieve financial targets
  • Assist in production of annual Budget and monitor results against it
  • Maximise Regions liquidity position
  • Attend management meetings
  • Produce surveying reports
  • Carry out cost/value investigations
  • Manage financial review process
  • Oversee contractual claims/contractual disputes
  • Approve subcontractor appointments, in conjunction with company procedures
  • Prepare operational report for Monthly Management report and attend Main Board meeting.
  • Report contractual risk situations to Regional team and mitigate them.

You will need:

  • Relevant management experience in construction industry
  • Knowledge of local construction market
  • Ability to negotiate with subcontractors, Designers and Clients.
  • Health and Safety Awareness.
  • Ability to lead the construction and preconstruction teams.
