DAYCARE ASSISTANT AT YORK HOUSE CARE HOME, BILLINGHAY

An opportunity has arisen to work in a 16 bed home from home caring environment and to be apart of a friendly team who make a rewarding difference to the lives of our residents.
We are looking for someone who can work well within a team, have fun and help create a happy environment for our residents.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience of working in the Care Sector preferred, NVQ2 or above needed
JOB PURPOSE:
To provide care for the residents, respective of their individual needs and in a manner to enhance their quality of life
What your typical day involves
- Assisting residents with personal care such as bathing, toileting, dressing etc whilst up keeping high levels of dignity for our residents and helping them to keep their independence.
- Supporting residents at meal times by helping them get to the dining room either by supporting them to walk, transferring them into a wheelchair
- Administration duties such as making daily notes on residents and reading of Care Plans of each client to promote continuity of care, completing daily records
- Answer call bells and give assistance as required
- Laundry
- Encouraging residents to take part in activities for stimulation.
