Description

Responsibilities

  • To process accounts and financial information provided by other departments within the hotel as required.
  • To check and record all transactions, thus ensuring all charges are raised in department and any adjustments are accounted for.
  • To assist with weekly returns so they are completed and forwarded to Head Office in accordance with procedures laid down.
  • To assist with the daily banking, reclaiming of credit card transactions and chasing up outstanding bounced/returned cheques.
  • To assist in maintaining an effective sales ledger/credit control operation, to achieve
D.S.O. targets.

  • To be aware of Internal Audit (KSAT) procedures and comply with any stipulations relating to the department.
  • To assist in the preparation of stock results for the hotel month end.
  • To be fully aware of activities and facilities within the hotel and the local area.
  • To be fully aware of the hotel cash handling and credit procedures and to report any discrepancies to your Manager.
  • To answer the telephone in a professional manner, ensuring that all messages are correctly handled and processed.
  • To ensure good working relationships with colleagues.
  • To ensure the security of all valuables, stock, keys and cash. This to include ensuring company security procedures are strictly adhered to at all times.
  • To ensure all work areas and equipment are kept clean and tidy.
  • To undertake any administration duties e.g. compiling timesheets and reports as requested.
  • To assist with payroll and personnel administration.
  • To maintain a high level of confidentiality of all data which you have access to as part of your duties. This to include password choice and never sharing logins or passwords.
  • To practice the correct and safe use and care of all items of equipment.
  • To ensure on all occasions you observe safe and hygienic working practices in order to satisfy the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act and other statutory legislation.
  • To attend training when required.
  • To be fully aware of and strictly observe Health & Safety, Fire Safety and Security policies and procedures.
  • To be fully aware of and comply with hotel and Company rules and regulations as identified in the Team Member Handbook, within Polices & Procedures and on the Team Noticeboards.
This Job Description cannot be exhaustive due to the peculiar requirements of the hotel industry. Therefore, the job-holder may be required from time to time to carry out tasks requested by the Management.

£11.00 per hour
