Eden Brown Synergy is currently working in partnership with a Public Sector Organization in Newham which is looking to recruit an Head of Corporate Landlord and Capital Projects on an interim basis for 12 weeks initially.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Head of Corporate Landlord and Capital Projects, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of the Council's corporate estate


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Corporate building and facilities management
  • Energy management and efficiency initiatives
  • Corporate estate management planning
  • Capital program and project management
  • Technical services, surveying, and design oversight

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
This role involves managing and coordinating the delivery of services related to the corporate estate, overseeing capital projects, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements


Key tasks include:

  • Leading the Council's Corporate Landlord functions
  • Coordinating the transfer and integration of functions with the Council's own corporate landlord operations
  • Establishing and maintaining processes for health and safety compliance and risk management
  • Acting as a supportive leader to the management team, providing guidance and constructive challenge
  • Serving as a senior technical adviser to the Director of Property on building design, maintenance, and operation

Qualifications and Skills:
To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A significant understanding of local government operations
  • Strategic thinking and leadership skills
  • Commercial awareness and experience in procurement and contract management
  • Knowledge of corporate landlord responsibilities and benefits
  • Critical thinking and problemsolving abilities
  • Experience in leading, managing, and delivering change in a complex organization
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Education/Qualifications:


  • Educated to degree level
  • Membership of a relevant recognized professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB, IWFM
  • Level 6+)
